We're back, y'all! I'm so exited to get back to blogging after a long hiatus as we developed the new site, launched the shop, and took on more client projects than ever before. We're still sifting through our old content and will be posting the best of our archives over the next few weeks too!
I thought we'd jump back into things by sharing a few fabulous ideas for keeping that endless summer vibe alive. If you live in Charleston or anywhere down south, endless summer isn't much of a choice, but no matter where you are, here's our link-up faves for enjoying the season to the last juicy (sweaty) drop:
This orzo summer salad from a Pinch of Yum is one those versatile recipes you can whip and bring to a party, pack for the pool or beach, or pack for lunch at the office. It keeps so well and is definitely a go-to fave!
Outdoor movie night isn't really a new idea, but it's probably the best idea and honestly I'm trying to teleport myself into this dreamy set by the one and only Emily Henderson. Obviously add citronella if you're in mosquito territory and don't forget your orzo salad!
Sure citrus is technically a winter fruit most places, but the sunny colors in combo with these super chic white orchids is giving us all the feels and is just glowy and good. Loving this inspo by Best Day Ever Floral Design for a more formal salutation to summer.
Speaking of summer salutations, mix this one part tequila infusion in your late summer libations and then try to say the beginning of this sentence three time fast. Pro tip: pair the chili with pineapple, smokey with grapefruit, and lime with just about anything. Also makes an amazing host/hostess gift!
It might sound weird, but this is one of my favorite times to shop for summer clothes. Things are on sale and I can add pieces to my wardrobe that will transition well into the fall (which is like 1-2 months late in Charleston anyway). Maxi dresses like this one from Madewell are great to score because you can throw a jacket + some booties or mules on in a few weeks/months and be just as seasonally appropriate. (PS love the modern take on eyelet on this dress!)
Happy late summer and welcome to return of the blog, friends!
